Capable of processing information at astonishing speeds, the human brain is “complexity as an artform”. Neuroscience does a great job in understanding neural networks and communication… but the ‘Magic’ of thought is missing. Let’s go Quantum (Consciousness).
Quantum entanglement (a phenomenon called “spooky action at a distance” by Albert Einstein) is one of the most perplexing concepts in physics. i.e. two particles becoming linked, or ‘entangled’ acting instantaneously, regardless of the distance between them.
Some scientists are showing that Quantum Entanglement might be holding the key to the secrets of consciousness… Photon entanglement explaing the rapid transmission of signals within the brain.
Photons (particles of light) are known to exhibit quantum entanglement. Photons involved in neural communication, if entangled, could enable instantaneous information transfer between different regions of the brain. This idea offers an explanation for the brain’s incredible speed and efficiency in processing information.
Quantum Consciousness: The Speed of Thought
Yong-Cong Chen, a leading researcher in this field, suggests that evolution may have harnessed the power of quantum entanglement to create a more efficient nervous system.
Chen has shown that entangled photons can be generated inside the ‘myelin sheath’ that covers nerve fibers between neurons.
Entangled Photons could solve the problem that chemical signals travel too slow. The neural synchronizations of millions of neuron firing together (the basis for the amazing things that the brain can do) is maybe happening in Quantum Mode.
ASC’s and Quantum Mode
During Altered States of Consciousness, the brain may enter a ‘Quantum Mode’… allowing for increased access to ‘non-local’ information processing… this explains heightened creativity, insights and altered perceptions often associated with these states.
Meditation has long been linked to enhanced brain function and well-being. Some experienced meditators exhibit brainwave patterns consistent with Quantum Coherence.
Similarly, ‘Psychedelic Experiences’ could be acting as bridge for accessing quantum realms deep within the brain…
Quantum Coherence in the Brain
The brain is a complex system… with billions of neurons interacting in intricate patterns.
Quantum entanglement allows for instantaneous connections between particles, regardless of distance… creating a Quantum Consciousness Coherence.
ASCs often involve experiences of expanded consciousness, altered perception of time and space, and a sense of unity with the universe. These phenomena could be related to accessing quantum realms that are normally inaccessible to the waking mind.
